Caregivers' day off
Caregivers’ Day Off (CDO) is a monthly event, taking place every third Saturday of the month at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Volunteers look after foster children, engaging them with activities, such as game booths, arts and crafts, and inflatable playgrounds.
Kids club and tutoring
Kids Club and Tutoring are events in collaboration with Tutorium where foster children are provided with tutoring services and fun activities that they can experience with high school volunteers. These are hosted concurrently with FKCE (Foster and Kinship Care Education) workshops, and are aimed at making classes more accessible for caregivers through childcare.
Soccerbots
SoccerBots was a STEM fair hosted on August 31, 2024 in collaboration with Road2. With the help of volunteers, children were able to build robots and explore introductory STEM concepts.
kinship fest
Kinship Fest was an event hosted on September 20, 2024 in collaboration with OC Social Services and Scholarship Prep. OAF chapters from all over OC worked together to create Olympic-themed booths that children of all ages could participate in and have fun.
Our Fundraisers

many fundraisers to help foster children acquire necessities.
my savior lives
During Covid-19 pandemic, OAF completed their first fundraiser for the My Savior Lives Orphanage and School in Ogembo, Kenya. With the help of generous donors, we were able to send them new recreational equipment for the children.
love uganda foundation fundraiser
During the 2021-2022 school year, Orphan Assistance Fund was able to host a fundraiser that raised $5,306. These funds went to food and supplies for over 300 orphaned children in Kampala, Uganda.
Project vietnam fundraiser
At the peak of the pandemic, OAF raised $10,000 to help children in Vietnam gain access to essentials.
hall mead school project
In partnership with Kids Alive International, Orphan Assistance Fund hosted its Spring International Project to raise $6000 to provide over 100,000 meals to impoverished children in Kenya at the Hall Mead School, many of whom are orphaned, have only a single parental figure, are affected by HIV, or facing work, child, or domestic abuse.
orangewood foundation fundraiser
During the 2021-2022 school year, OAF hosted a fundraising event partnered with Orangewood Foundation where we were able to achieve a donation of $2,500 for foster children in need! That includes our two item drives from 2020 to 2022.
International Haiti Project
In the Spring of 2022, OAF partnered with Kids Alive to host a fundraiser that raised $5,500 and went towards building a new kitchen and cafeteria for an orphanage located in Haiti.
